Best On-Farm Café / Restaurant
Less than a year since we extended our Café kitchen and attracted a first class team of chefs, we have been voted as finalists in the prestigious National FARMA food awards.
Everything is made from scratch using traditional artisan techniques and the best Cowdray & local produce where possible. All our recipes are original or adapted from recipes taken from various Michelin starred restaurants in England & France worked in by our team.
The Café is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm. Please telephone 01730 815 152 if you'd like to book ahead.
Our own smoking

We take care and spend a lot of time over all our food.
If you are coming in for a sandwich, the bread would have been made that morning using flour from wheat grown on the Estate.
Butter made from our own cows cream.
Our own beef roasted with freshly grated horseradish.
Our own eggs with our own celery salt.
Even our smoked salmon is filleted, brined and smoked over oak dust on the premises.
Seasonal salads and our award winning organically reared meat and game is also on offer, and the first of our own dry cured ham from our own pigs is being matured and will be ready in the not too distant future.
Quality local additions to our wine list

All our wines on offer in the café can also be bought in the farm shop.
They have been carefully chosen for their quality and good value.
We have recently added to the list our local sparkling wines from Upperton, less than five away.
Lunch is served everyday from 11.30am to 3pm
(with sandwiches & cakes available until 4.30pm Monday to Saturday)
